Thursday Dec. 11, 2008:   A Piner squad, out of the Santa Rosa area, defeated Eureka as Lucas Devenny and Mario Pascal combined for 46 points.  Not to be outdone was senior Greg Allen for Eureka as he scored 27 points.  Ryan Sypkins and Michael Rosaroso combined for 38 points as Franklin High, from the Sacramento area, defeated McKinleyville.  Arcata played sound defense to defeat Red Bluff and Fortuna extended a 26-24 halftime lead to defeat Anderson High School.

Friday Dec. 12, 2008:  Greg Allen had six 3-pointers in the win over McKinleyville.  Fortuna defeated Anderson as Skylar Rice and Ryan Hudson combined for 34 points.  Piner extended a 31-26 halftime lead over Franklin as 6’8” center Luke Devenny scored 34 points and had 18 rebounds. In the nightcap, Ryan Dehart and Jordan Semple combined for 36 points as Arcata held Fortuna to 17 2nd half points.  
 
Saturday Dec. 13, 2008:

                              2.  Eureka 70...………Red Bluff 60
                              3.  Franklin 69.……….Fortuna 51
                              4.  Arcata 68.………...Piner 50
Saturday Dec. 13, 2008:  A much improved Anderson squad nearly defeated McKinleyville.  Eureka won the Consolation trophy over Red Bluff, as 4 Eureka players scored in double figures.  Franklin placed 3rd by defeating Fortuna by 18 points.  Arcata played exceptionally well and Piner was without the services of injured center Lucas Devenny in the Championship game. Andrew Flohr and Mario Pascal picked up the slack for Piner to combine for 38 points.  However, 5 players scored in double figures for Arcata as they went on to win the 41ST Annual AIBT. 
 
Arcata’s Timmy Couch was named Tournament MVP.
