Thursday Dec. 12, 2013:
The Fortuna squad defeated Red Bluff as Justin Claus connected on 5 three pointers to finish with 21
points. Senior Greg Dufour scored 9 points for the Spartans. Christian Allen had 17 points, including 4
three pointers to lead Franklin over Eureka. Balanced scoring lead Arcata over Anderson as Russ
Taylor led all scorers with 19 points including 8 for 8 from the freethrow line. In the evenings final
contest, Piner was lead by seniors Adony Efriem and Nebi Gedlu as Piner made 28 free throws on the
evening.

Friday Dec. 13, 2013:
In the second round action, Red Bluff had a 2721 lead at halftime and pulled away from Eureka as Matthew Fox and Wyatt Clement lead the Spartans in scoring. Anderson battled McKinleyville in a tight game as the Panthers were lead by William Ingersoll’s 29 points. Fortuna lead 177 over Franklin at the end of the first quarter and triumphed a strong comeback by the Wildcats later in the game. Nate Ambrosini and Justin Claus lead Fortuna with 29 and 21 points respectively. Senior Benson Osayande and 14 for Franklin. In the evenings final game, Piner lead Arcata by three at halftime, but the Tigers were able to rally in the fourth quarter to pull out a narrow victory. Russ Taylor had 15 points for Arcata as Nebi Gedlu lead all scorers with 20.

Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013:
The final contests of the 46th AIBT saw Eureka pull away after Anderson narrowed the gap to 3533
at the end of the 3rd quarter. High scorers Austin Payne, Christian Allen and Jabarri Johnson lead
Franklin over Piner, despite the prospectors Coach Mike Erikson’s exceptional coaching expertise.
Red Bluff narrowly defeated McKinleyville as seniors Matthew Fox and Curtis Twitchell lead the
Spartans. Red Bluff’s Coach of the year Stan Twitchell received no technical fouls during the contest. The Championship of the 46th AIBT went to Fortuna for the second time in tournament history. Daniel Teasley, Max Betts and Nate Ambrosini were leading scorers for the Huskies, while Errol Funk lead the Tigers.
